The Inlay Puzzles are made from a light 6mm birch plywood, the inlay puzzle is very carefully cut out with an extremely fine fret saw and then finely sanded to a very smooth surface finish.The pieces are then painted and given two coats of child safe non toxic acrylic paint. When dry they are given a coat of lacquer to give them a highly tough durable finish. See our inlay puzzle range in the online shop.

The blade I use on my fret saw is only 0.088” thick (as thin as a hair) which makes a very fine cut, ensuring a nice tight fit with your Puzzle pieces. I usually cut about 2 pieces to a square inch, but this is only an approximate indication. When the puzzle is cut it is turned over and the back is sanded smooth then given a sealing finish. The Puzzle is then disassembled, the pieces counted and quality checked. It is then packed in our jigsaw box, wrapped and sent to you.
